Education

I went to a conservatory High School for Musical Theater and Dance, the Youth Performing Arts School in Louisville, KY. For college I studied Arts Administration at the Jefferson Community College. Then as most entertainers seek to do- I WORKED! I landed several jobs with various companies that forged my career.

Experience

I have 14 years of teaching experience in Jazz (Contemporary and Broadway), Beg. Tap, Beg. Ballet, Horton Modern, Improv dance and theater, Fundamentals of Movement, Creative Movement for the Actor, Hip Hop, Character Development, Monologue/Scene Development, Silent Actor work, Comedia del Arte technique, and more My muse and personal favorites are teaching the techniques of Bob Fosse and Jack Cole; their styles cross over for theater and dance. They are the greats for what we see today!!! I have an extensive experience of being on stage and have been in hundreds of performances. This has allowed me to really define what is happening in the human psyche while on stage, and convey it to my students. I have taken tons of Broadway Master classes and my education coms from teachers who went to Julliard and performed on Broadway. I have performed with numerous companies from theater to dance and have a well rounded approach to aiding students. I seek to show that anyone can dance and perform and I intend to open up the hidden artist within us all. I am charging less than half of my normal rate to spread the knowledge that I have been gifted with. My approach comes from what is happening within. From being a method actor myself, we start at the spark of imagination. Through the analytical of 'what's happening' and allowing the organic form to take place, the blessings of creativity and art are formed.

Hobbies

Dance and Theater are my life for work and play. I make music on the side. And I also work as an essential oil practitioner and hands on healer. I love old Vaudevillian style theater and Musicals. I do community outreach in my spare time, volunteering my services of healing and counseling through my church.
