Education
Started my college career in 2011 at Kapiolani Community College. My major is Education, and i had a short hiatus, since tuition was getting difficult to pay. I am currently enrolled at ASU online thanks to a great opportunity at my primary job. Although my major is Education, starting next fall 2015, i will be minoring in psychology to widen my opportunities in the education system.
Experience
I have worked at Kumon for about 2-3 years. I worked with early learners (preschool- elementary) primarily, however have worked with kids up to High School as well. My experience at Kumon has taught me that a student needs a strong foundation in order to move to the next step, and that you can't skip ahead. I use this to help kids build a better understanding for their learning levels, as well as building good study habits. I also am tutoring some of my peers in Korean, since i am fluent in it. Although i have people from my former classes as my students, they have referred me to a lot of their friends, so i have a wide variety of ages and personalities i work with.

Hobbies
As a kid, my gateway of leisure time was books. It opened up a world of writing for me briefly as well. It's a great way to express yourself in a more direct way, as well as open up more creativity. I also used to play the violin from age 9-16 (private lessons), and i am now starting it up again for my own leisure time. Lastly, everyone who knows me knows i am a foodie. I love to eat and experience new types of foods i am not familiar with. I also love to cook and bake.
