I have not tutored children but for more than a decade I have taught adults how to resolve complex technical and scientific issues. I have worked in the technology field for twenty years, mostly with large American firms including Apple, Dell, and Google. Since I moved to Hawaii, I have changed careers and am working in the legal field. I have taken many technology courses throughout my career, but for enrichment I have also taken many Literature courses. I am fluent in both English and French, and love studying language. I want to be a tutor because I love being around children and I am an excellent teacher! I have a great passion for learning, and I feel that our schools are leaving many children behind and are not making learning a fulfilling experience. Learning is fun! Children need to be taught in a way that excites them and engages them. Many of the current teaching techniques and programs at our schools are failing, and have been doing so for a very long time. I have a fresh approach to teaching that keeps the student engaged and interested.

I am a very active, outgoing and energetic person; I enjoy playing tennis, sailing, snorkeling, kayaking and hiking. I love to read and learn about science, literature, and languages. I am fluent in both English and French. I enjoy reading scientific books and articles about physics, space, and astronomy. I have always been well versed in literature, and I love the classical literature and poetry from Rome and Greece (Ovid, Homer) as well as classic English Literature. My favorite interests are children and animals, as they bring much joy and enrichment to my life.
