Experience
I have been tutoring for one year in various subjects, including Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, English, and biology. I have two younger siblings, a sister who is 7 years old and a brother who is 3. Karen, my younger sister is in the third grade is often asking for help with her homework, and I guide her through her subjects, while creating extra study problems to help her become proficient in reading and math. For my younger brother Kevin, I read books to him everyday. I enjoy motivating students. During my junior year of high school, I became an active peer mentor to eight incoming freshman's in a program called Ignition. As a mentor, I supported each student through their transition from middle school to high school by leading activities twice a month and had one-on-one meetings with each student, and was available to give support any time for any problems, school related or personal problems.
