BA and Teaching Credential from University of the Pacific, Stockton, CA Masters in Pacific Islands Study at UH Manoa where I also studied Hawaiian History and Language.
Experience
I have spent over 20 years teaching all levels in Elementary classrooms and have tutored individuals and groups in math, reading & writing. For many years I specialized in teaching children to read in Title I reading programs. I have also taught at the college level--in the Education Dept. at UH Hawai'i and at Punahou School. I am a published non-fiction writer. My stories can be read in many of the Cobblestone Magazines. I have been tutoring and testing at Sylvan Learning Center at Kahala for over 15 years where I teach learning-disable adults as well as children.
