Experience
I attended Kenyon College where I pursued my studies in English, particularly in creative writing. I am originally from the state of Hawaii. However, I have had the chance to travel quite extensively. I have lived in New Jersey, Honolulu, New York, Peru, and L.A. Because of my extensive travel, I have met so many different people from all different walks of life. I believe this makes me a very diverse and cultured individual. While still in college, I worked at the campus writing center tutoring my peers in writing and English. I am a great tutor if assistance is needed in anything having to do with the writing process. I also am wonderful assisting with literary analysis. I have worked as an admissions fellow. Because of my experience working in the admissions office, I have a familiarity with the college admissions process. I am available to assist students in this process. As for my teaching style, I am always available to help a student with whatever he or she needs help with. However, I expect my students to put forth their full effort. Students need to be productive and take tutoring seriously in order to succeed. I find great joy in teaching, and I hope my students will be as dedicated to learning as I am to teaching them.
