I am currently running Youth Mentors, a tutoring service located in Honolulu on Kapahulu Avenue. We specialize in SAT/SSAT test-prep, skill building/development, & school help. (2012-2016) (Hawaii) Summer Camp Leader at CUPC Summer Camp (Summer 2002-2006) (San Francisco) DIGS Digital Media Teacher (2008) (San Francisco) In my time at the tutoring center I was able to build relationships with students and families and I found that I had an impact on these peoples' lives. Now that I am pursuing my goals and dreams outside of the tutoring center, I would like to continue being able to help people find a passion for learning. I have worked with over a thousand different kids and matched their behavior and learning styles with all of the teachers at the center. Hobbies
My hobbies/interests include: Skateboarding, basketball, photography and filmmaking, music, movies, personal/professional development, video games, and cooking. Looking back on the years of my youth, I remember that the lessons I learned while having fun were the lessons that stuck. I believe in teaching my students through the things in life that they enjoy most. I wish for my students to enjoy learning and to realize that they are capable of anything that they put their minds to. I wish that I had a positive role model, aside from my parents, to answer my questions and tell me things while growing up. I want to see the students that I build a relationship with go on to succeed in all avenues of life by teaching them the skills they will need as well as by introducing personal development to them.
